Celebrating the Official Dedication of the John L. Ward Center for Family Enterprises
May 2021
On Friday, May 21, 2021, the John L. Ward Center for Family Enterprises held an official ribbon cutting ceremony in recognition of the
historic center naming gift that was made possible by the generosity of the Tanoto Foundation in Singapore. The center's name honors Clinical Professor Emeritus John L. Ward, who served as co-director of the center for nearly two decades and was one of the first scholars to put science behind the field of family enterprise.
Celebration attendees included Sukanto, Tinah, and Anderson Tanoto; John Ward; Northwestern University President Morton Schapiro; and Kellogg Dean Francesca Cornelli.
The Ward Center deeply appreciates the Tanoto Foundation's generous investment in Kellogg, which is enabling us to expand the important, visionary work that is John Ward's legacy. With this gift, we are fortifying Kellogg's role as a global thought leader, convener and educator of the current and future leaders of the family enterprise community.
